Having engaged widely with the community and with local groups and businesses in March 2020 and then carried out a great deal of research into the issues facing Cirencester, during the Spring of 2021 the Steering Group engaged a Planning Consultant (Feria Urbanism). The Steering Group then consulted again via a series of digital themed workshops run by the consultant who also sought contributions from primary school pupils and Cirencester College students.
The team are now in a position to be able to share with you the current state of the project in the Progress Report at our Cirencester Says page and would welcome your feedback via the online survey also at that location. Please complete the survey by September 24th 2021.
If you know of anyone who doesn’t have access to online technology, a paper copy of the report and survey is available at the Local Information Centre, Bingham House, Dyer Street.
The feedback provided will help the team to refine the policies and project ideas proposed in the Progress Report. The Steering Group will then engage with the community again through the Autumn and Winter to check that it is on the right lines. We hope to be able to produce the first full draft of the CNP, known as the Regulation14 draft, in time to consult formally in the Spring of 2022.
If you require further information on the CNP please contact our Project Officer, Sian Burke-Murphy, at info@cirencesternp.org.
